How I Keep My Mind Alert

I stay in the computer for long periods of time.

It's actually pretty straining to the eyes. But, that is the nature of my job and pretty much everything else that I do.

So, I tried to find a way to keep those creative juices from flowing even if I decide to get off my computer.

The answer is The Rubik's Cube.

I don't know what this cube does to the brain scientifically. I just feel like it makes me alert and it helps my brain to constantly think logically and actively -- even during downtimes.

Every time I take a break from work and go off the computer screen, I pick up, scramble and then solve the cube.

My mind stays active even though I am not working. That means no slacking off during break times. So much win.

I recommend it to other people who are in the same boat as I am.

P.S.
I can now solve the cube in less than 40 seconds (as of this writing).
