It Was An Interesting Commute

Tonight, I had one of the most interesting commutes I've had in a long while.

It was 3am.

I was rushing to go home from a productive ministry meeting with the youth group of our church.

I noticed that this taxi driver was going slow. I thought he was just sleepy or tired because it was already super late.

I normally don't complain right away so I just observed.

Everything seems fine. Then, he started talking.

He started with political stuff, casual talk and some random conversation starters. But then, he went serious and talked about the love of God.

I can feel the sincerity in his heart as he was talking about how our relationship with Jesus Christ (knowing and accepting Him as our Lord and Savior) is the only thing that can save us.

Being the Christian that I am, I knew all this stuff.

But, I did not stop him.

I allowed him to talk in the 30-minute commute that I had.

While he was talking, my heart just warmed with gladness. He was a reminder of how being a Christian does not end in the four walls of the church.

He used his platform to share the good news of Jesus Christ.

It was amazing.

I thanked him and prayed for him.

I know God will use him in more ways than he could imagine.

Lord, bless the life of Kuya Efren. We need more people like him in this world.
