IDEA: Starbucks Planner App
On a Sunday afternoon flight while thinking about grabbing a coffee when I land, I had this idea for Starbucks.

It is that time of the year when people are collecting stickers to get the annual Starbucks planner.

I was never the "take down notes on paper" kind of guy. I live with almost everything digital.

So, even though I drink a lot of coffee I just collect stickers and give away the planner I would get.

The "millennial" inside of me just live with my iPhone and iPad for all those organization, scheduling and planning.

So, I tweeted this. (see image above)

Why hasn't Starbucks created an app for this planner yet?

Here are some ideas they could implement.

A dedicated Starbucks planner app

This app is a free download and would require a Starbucks account. It will come with very limited access just so you'd get the feel of what the app is like. When you've collected enough stickers, you'd be able to redeem a code that will make you unlock the full version of the planner.

A good-looking app

This is a no brainer. People want the Starbucks planners because they look nice. No doubt the designs are well thought out. The app should be too.

The app will be interactive

Starbucks can do whatever they want with regards to promotions, achievements, gamification and stuff. For instance, they can incorporate challenges inside the app every month. Drink 3 Caramel Macchiatos this week and get free credits on your Starbucks card. That would be nice.

What's a millennial app if stuff aren't shareable. Goals, journals and even to-do's should be easily shareable on social media. You can brag about your challenge completions, where you are with your goals and more!

Those are just some of the ideas on top of my head.

Maybe Starbucks is already working on this. If not, I hope they consider.

That would be the only time I'd enjoy collecting stickers for a planner I would use for a whole year.
